Food Research Institute

On 13th of February 2020, we commemorated the jubilee - 90 years of the life of the leading Slovak breeder of grape varieties, Ing. Dorota Pospíšilová, CSc. As the first lady of Slovak viticulture, she is the author of the most famous Slovak grape varieties: Danube, Devín, Hron, Rudava, Váh... . Overall, she participated in the breeding of 24 recognized vine varieties. Ing. Pospíšilová, CSc. was a former long-term employee of the Research Institute of Viticulture and Enology in Bratislava, which was incorporated into the Food Research Institute in Bratislava on 1st of March 2016, where her colleagues still provide professional advice and services for winegrowers and winemakers.

We wish Ing. Dorota Pospíšilová, CSc., especially good health, lot of creative vitality, and life optimism.
